I can’t believe that my time as an intern at Carolina Farm Credit is really coming to an end. I feel like time flew by this summer. I can still remember my interview with the Human Resources Director, Sarah Rachels and Regional Manager, Fred Pittard.
After my interview, I knew Carolina Farm Credit was where I wanted to intern for the summer. That interview was one of the few interviews that I felt connected with the interviewers and left feeling confident as a candidate for the position.
The employees at CFC have a way of reassuring you that everything will be okay and that they are here to support you, because everyone was in my position at one time. I’m fairly certain that everyone can remember their first day at work and how nervous they were. Personally, I was nervous about this opportunity because I did not have a finance background. However, as time progressed I learned about the different departments that Farm Credit offers. One thing that I can say about Farm Credit is that they ensure that their employees are well trained.
I owe a huge thank you to Mrs. Wanda for taking me under her wing and educating me on the loan process. I’m really going to miss driving to Brown Summit every morning, other than my internship, I rarely venture that far! This branch has played a key role in my time with Carolina Farm Credit and I’m really going to miss this place. In addition, I plan to keep in touch with everyone that I’ve met this summer. I really don’t like saying goodbye, so instead I’ll say “until next time Carolina Farm Credit!” Thanks for everything!
