Farmers are never the first ones to say they deserve an award, but they often deserve one!
What is the award?
Every year, the Farm Credit Associations of NC and the Tobacco Farm Life Museum work together to select one young farmer to receive the Innovative Young Farmer of the Year Award.

Why is there an award?
Both organizations realize the importance of rewarding the hard work and innovative thinking of young N.C. farmers. The future of agriculture is dependent on educated and dedicated farmers. This is a way to show recognition and gratitude to these farmers!
Who can apply?
Feel free to pass the application along to any individuals who you think deserves to be recognized!
When and where will it be presented?
The award will be presented to ohe recipient at the Museum’s annual “Breakfast with the Commissioner” event at the Southern Farm Show in Raleigh. This event is scheduled for February 2nd, 2018 at 7:30 AM in the Holshouser Building on the State Fair Grounds.
